Carnival Costume Workshops Every Saturday from April 2016 This is the chance for anyone who wants to help to come along and give a hand with the making of the costumes. This is an important element in the early promotion and attraction of the carnival and will be an opportunity to see not only the crowning of the local queens but also the crowning of the Regional Carnival Queen. An event that should DEFINITELY not to be missed! Regional Carnival Queen Show Saturday 9th June 2016
We are now in the 6th year of the Regional Carnival Queen Show and this year the show will take place at the Peepul Centre in Leicester.. Derby Caribbean Carnival Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th July 2016 (Procession from Pear Tree Junior School setting off at 1.00 pm, along the procession route – Pear Tree Street, Portland Street, St. Thomas’ Road, Pear Tree Road, Normanton Road, Babington Lane, St. Peter’s Street and finally ending up at the Market Place outside the Assembly Rooms at approximately 3.00 pm) Costume exhibition and stage show at the Market Place until 6.00 pm. Derby Caribbean Carnival (Family Day - Osmaston Park) Sunday 17th July 2016 - cancelled
